Health Questionnaire and Medical Requirements

All perspective users must apply through proper channel and fill in the health questionnaire available through Biosafety officer at the BSL-3 laboratory. The applicants must undergo medical health examination by designated AIIMS authority/CMO and also agree to participate in a health monitoring program of BSL-3. In accordance with biosafety guidelines drafted by BSL-3 collegium, a Hepatitis B vaccination is mandatory for all workers. In the case of prior immunization, the worker will submit a medical record for the same or undergo titer determination as decided by the Biosafety Officer. Researchers handling bacterial and viral pathogens need to get appropriate routine medical examinations such as Chest X-ray (TB/Bacteriology) or testing for viral exposure i.e. HIV etc. as per the investigator’s recommendation. Pregnant women or immunocompromised individuals are recommended to be excluded from highly hazardous laboratory work

The access to BSL-3 work area will be provided only to the candidates who has successfully undergo training and certification, and have made a successful payment towards user charges. Step by step guide for this process is provided below:

Training
